And So It Begins

  • The group engaged in a process of surveillance and information gathering to find out everything they could about Zahara's.
  • Miandra spent most of the time researching the black rod recovered from the shrine.
  • Learned about the composition of the brothel's guards, their staff, and a few interesting personalities including an exotic Varghani woman who arrived and never left and a deva who resides there of her own accord.
  • Also discovered the identities of twelve of the brothel's patrons.
  • Miandra's research and a visit by her and Shashank with Zeltas the Elder, a Zahara's patron and noted sage, revealed that the rod the party found was a segment of the Rod of Seven Parts.
  • Biren and Terius spoke with another patron - Halbrook Thornwell, head of the Iron Storm Brotherhood mercenaries - but little came of their conversation.
  • Quinn spoke with the patron Arendal Gaunter, a powerful wizard and member of the Order of the Obsidian Tower. Oddly, he alluded to his companions having powerful magic which could be liberated from them.
  • Upon meeting back up after their day of investigation, the party was assaulted in a deserted intersection by a pack of demon worshipers, led by the mysterious, red horned skull-tattooed stranger from Highwood.

  • Sold the elven relics to the eladrin embassy
  • Shashank, with group consensus, decided to begin a war with House Malor in retaliation for their attempts on the groups' lives.
  • Singled out Malor's lucrative Zahara's House of Earthly Pleasures, said to be the best brothel in the city.
  • Sent Biren and Terius in to pick a fight to get some measure of the brothel's defenses, though they were repelled without much success.
