Aan

The semi-mythical first human city, built by wizardly magic at the end of the First Age. Said to be an architectural marvel (unrivaled to this day), it stood for years as the de facto "capital" of magical power. However, after a few decades, Aan was virtually abandoned when the wizards factionalized and left the city to found the empires of the Second Age.

Aan's original location has been lost; it is believed that maps or records detailing where the city was located were intentionally destroyed. Many have searched for it over the years but the lack of any evidence of its existence have led some to believe it is only a legend.
