Aelarion Forest

The Aelarion Forest is a large woodland found in the south of Atharys. It lies between the Anselan Highlands in the east and the Cyrenic Ocean in the west, Lake Keltas in the north and unnamed mountains in the south. Years ago, it was populated by the Sylvari, but they retreated from the Aelarion over two hundred years ago. The human tribes of the Taelan, who had originally only occupied the far eastern part of the forest along the Highlands, eventually spread across the whole of the Aelarion to fill the void left by the elves.

Today, the Sylvari have started to return to the Aelarion, mainly in the west via Lyranorr. The north is becoming occupied by the Vykir from across the Skesgart Sea. This is a cause of conflict in the woods as the Taelan find themselves being pushed back from both directions.
