Calythir

City of Ghosts

Calythir is a fishing town turned trading port in southern Karnathas. It is not yet as prosperous as Ilmara or Zeldora, but it is slowly growing in power and influence. While not yet a rival to either of the other two, Calythir is large enough to be a help or a hindrance to the larger cities, roles which the town switches between depending on what it has to gain. Calythir is also home to the engimatic House Talamyr.

Besides being a growing trade settlement, Calythir is also quite haunted. Ghosts are very common here, gliding along the streets, drifting into and out of buildings, and occasionally circling about the town's towers and higher buildings. They are generally harmless and manifest for only a few moments before fading away. Whether they originate in Calythir or are drawn to the city is unknown. Encountering these apparitions is unsettling for visitors, but those who reside in Calythir eventually grow used to them.
