Corathmyr

Elven Settlement

Corathmyr is an elven city found in southwestern Karnathas. It is one of two elven cities outside of Elthanamir (Lyranorr being the other). Corathmyr is populated primarily by Sylvari, though a small number of Ilidari live there as well. It was depopulated in 903 when the Mystarchs attemped to wipe out the elven race with a magically engineered disease. Those who weren't killed fled the city. After the fall of Marasinia, the elves returned to Corathmyr and Lyranorr. They drove out the monsters and creatures that had found their way into the abandoned cities and set about rebuilding and repopulating. Over time, they attracted elves who still lived on the two continents (and Atharys) as well as some folk from Elthanamir.

Corathmyr clashes with the monstrous inhabitants of the Dragonstongue Mountains regularly. The elves of Corathmyr engage in a fair amount of trade with neighboring Ilmara and to a lesser degree with dwarven Kharazgar.
