Dark Galleys

The Dark Galleys are rowed longships that appear in the northern ports of Zarkhir. The ships are built of ebony wood and inlaid with bone and silver and are adorned with symbols that have a "death" motif. Rowers are evident by the oars but are below deck and never seen. The Galleys are captained by humanoid beings dressed in dark robes.

The Galleys trade in exotic items that cannot be acquired elsewhere. However, their price is rather steep: a portion of one's soul. It is readily given up by many, but most of those who have engaged in an exchange with the Galleys regret their decision later. What value the Galley captains derive from this is unknown.
