Dis

The city of Dis is Azakhar's dominion in the Astral Sea. It is a huge fortress-city with walls and towers that sprawl over an area at least twenty miles across. Pyres constantly burn from the city's rooftops while preternatural flames dance on the walls themselves, giving rise to the title "the Burning City". At the center of Dis is a citadel known as Acherus, which is Azakhar's personal residence.

Acherus is home to countless devils, fiendish mercenaries, and the spirits of those who died in the Black Tyrant's service, as well as the unfortunate creatures who have been captured and enslaved to serve them and their unholy master. It is also home to the dark goddesses Mallora and Savia who were subjugated by Azakhar during the Divinity War. The two retain much power and respect but within the Black Tyrant's fortress they are treated as little more than favored consorts.
