Ilidari
The Ilidari are more commonly known as High Elves or Eladrin. They are slightly taller than their Sylvari brethren, averaging about 6 feet in height and weighing around 150 pounds. Their skin is fair to the point of alabaster for some Ilidari, and their ears tend to be slightly longer than those of a Wood Elf (about a third to a half longer than a human's; the ridiculous image of an elf with extremely long, almost floppy ears is a fabrication of fanciful bards and ignorant scholars). Ilidari hair is generally very pale yellow, white, or silver.
High Elves are rather arrogant and consider themselves superior to the other races, including the Sylvari (though they would rank their "rustic cousins" above everyone else since they are still elves). With a few exceptions, almost all the Ilidari are found on the islands of Elthanamir.
The Ilidari are adherents of the Faith of the Earth Mother, though this is based more on tradition than actual devotion. For the most part, the Ilidari feel that they have progressed beyond the need for gods, and thus give the Earth Mother and her spirits little more than lip service.
Naming Conventions: Ilidari tend to have exotic names and surnames, such as Amadriel Mithlaroth, Isenadan Ellendir, or Tyras Salethil.
