Iron Arena

The Iron Arena is an ancient amphitheatre in the foothills of the World's Edge Mountains. It is two days travel (by horse) east of Essengard.

The arena dates back to the Azakaal Empire. It is a natural bowl-shaped depression in the hills. The stony walls have been worked to make seating for spectators and a series of chambers have been excavated into a hillside to be used for those tending to the arena as well as for people and creatures participating in the matches held there.

The Iron Arena is not a temple but it is tended by a small group of Karnite wardens so it is ready for each year's Tournament of the Sword. It is generally unused the rest of the year due to its remote location.
