Lyranorr

Elven Town

Lyranorr is an elven city located along the western Atharys coast. It is one of two elven cities outside of Elthanamir (Corathmyr being the other). Lyranorr is populated primarily by Sylvari, though a small number of Ilidari live there as well. It was depopulated in 903 when the Mystarchs attempted to wipe out the elven race with a magically engineered disease. Those who weren't killed fled the city. After the fall of Marasinia, the elves returned to Lyranorr and Corathmyr. They drove out the monsters and creatures that had found their way into the abandoned cities and set about rebuilding and repopulating. Over time, they attracted elves who still lived outside Elthanamir as well as some folk from the elven kingdom itself.

Lyranorr regularly skirmishes with humanoids from the Aelarion Forest and the unnamed mountains to the south. The growing strength of the mountain tribes is also starting to become a concern.
