Malgotha

Malgotha is a huge island in the southwest of the known world. Little is known of the place as very few who have ventured farther than the coast have returned. Those who have returned from the island tell tales of vicious jungle predators, treacherous terrain, and a multitude of statues dotting the countryside and monstrous heads carved into the sides of cliffs and mountains.

Viss'takh legend claims that the island was home to an ancient, non-human empire that fought with Azakaal prior to the First Age, the Ilidari maintain that Malgotha was home to an ancient race of people who were destroyed by the gods for being too proud, and the Dhazyra say that the island was once the core of their lost empire.

At present, Malgotha remains an enigma. Besides the unknown dangers that lurk deeper in the island's jungles, its sheer distance from the civilized world makes exploration or exploitation too costly.
