Marasinian Empire

The Marasinian Empire was the dominant state of the Third Age and the greatest power the world has ever seen. It started as a small city-state on the western shore of the Thallosean Sea. After the fall of Thallosea following the Divinity War, Marasinia grew in size and power, eventually conquering all of Karnathas, northern Zarkhir, and most of Atharys. Marasinia's Mystarchs (the wizards who governed the empire) ruled the known world for over 500 years until the discovery of nethermagic. This led to the Thaumaturgical Wars and the eventual collapse of the empire.
