Cool Resource: Metal Weights Calculator

Looking for a calculator to determine the weights of metals? Try this.

DM: "The solid gold pillar is 2 feet in diameter and 15 feet tall."
Player: "I'll throw it over my shoulder and carry it to the entrance door of the hall."
DM: "Make a STR check against DC 75 to see if you don't rip your arms out. It weighs 57,000 pounds."

Cool Custom Miniature

Check this out.

A little small, but pretty cool. All it needs is the bodies of two dead lizardmen.

The Seattle Underground

This is pretty cool. I never realized that Seattle had an "undercity". Shades of Empire of the Petal Throne...

A live blog from New Orleans

Check out this blog.

Pretty amazing and, really, quite surreal. Here's hoping the best for these folks and almost all* the other people down in New Orleans and the other areas hit by the hurricane.

*: I say "almost all" as I'm excluding the looters who are taking advantage of the situation to steal stuff because of greed and not survival; if you need to take food, water, etc. from an abandoned grocery store to stay alive, I can't blame you. Taking jewelry, TVs, 40 boxes of Nikes, etc. is wrong.

Mythosa and TableSmith mentioned on Dragon's Landing podcast

Episode 7 of the Dragon's Landing podcast featured some very nice coverage of both my Mythosa website and TableSmith. I think the hosts may have confused TableSmith with the long-defunct "TableMaster" (as far as how long the application has been around), but that's a minor quibble.

I haven't listened to the earlier episodes yet but I will be; it sounds like a cool show. Of course, I'm a little late to the party when it comes to "podcasting", so this may be old news to some of you.

The Last Ding!

Got my first level 60 character in WoW: My paladin on Kargath. It'll be a little while before my rogue gets there (12 or 13 right now).

Time to devote a little more attention to my warlock on Aggramar; she's 56 right now...
